# Changelog.

Product updates across supermemory API, MCP, plugins, SDKs, local tooling, and research.

[Plugins](https://supermemory.ai/changelog/every-coding-agent-plugin-is-now-free) August 15, 2026

## [All coding agent plugins are now free, including OpenClaw](https://supermemory.ai/changelog/every-coding-agent-plugin-is-now-free) [#](https://supermemory.ai/changelog/every-coding-agent-plugin-is-now-free)

No Supermemory plugin sits behind a paid plan any more. Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, OpenCode, and OpenClaw are all free on any account, including the free tier.

### Improvements

* OpenClaw is now free too, so no coding agent plugin sits behind a plan gate. Usage still counts toward your plan's included credits.
* Billing lists every plugin under Free, and the plan-specific errors on connect have been replaced with the real reason a key could not be created.

One command detects Claude Code, Cursor, OpenCode, and Codex on your machine, installs the ones you pick, and asks you to approve OAuth once in the browser:

```
npx supermemory plugin
```

Already installed and only need to reconnect:

```
npx supermemory plugin login
```

[API](https://supermemory.ai/changelog/backfill-historical-documents-with-their-original-date) August 14, 2026

## [Backfill historical documents with documentDate on ingest](https://supermemory.ai/changelog/backfill-historical-documents-with-their-original-date) [#](https://supermemory.ai/changelog/backfill-historical-documents-with-their-original-date)

Set documentDate on each document so historical content lands on the date it actually happened instead of the date you uploaded it, which is what makes time-based search work on backfilled data.

### Improvements

* A new guide walks through backfilling dated documents through the batch ingestion API, with TypeScript and Python examples.
* Company Brain admins can now change the company domain, and re-running research updates its findings in place instead of stacking duplicates.

### Fixes

* Fixed an issue where SDK responses dropped fields the API returned, across 15 endpoints.
* MCP now shows the API's real reason for refusing a request instead of reporting that your account may be restricted or blocked. A read-only key now says so.

Send up to 600 documents per request to `POST /v3/documents/batch`, sorted oldest to newest:

```
{
  "documents": [
    {
      "id": "msg-2019-04-02-118",
      "content": "Decided to move the billing cutover to Q3.",
      "documentDate": "2019-04-02T09:15:00Z"
    }
  ]
}
```

Without `documentDate` a backfilled document is dated the day you uploaded it, so a question like "what did we decide in 2019" will not find it.

[Company Brain](https://supermemory.ai/changelog/company-brain-is-now-100-a-month-on-max) August 13, 2026

## [Company Brain pricing now starts at $100 a month on Max](https://supermemory.ai/changelog/company-brain-is-now-100-a-month-on-max) [#](https://supermemory.ai/changelog/company-brain-is-now-100-a-month-on-max)

Company Brain is available on the $100 a month Max plan as well as Scale, and the 14-day trial takes a card in onboarding before the brain turns on.

### Improvements

* Company Brain workspaces on Max and above no longer have a seat cap.
* React to a Company Brain reply with the stop emoji to mute it for that Slack thread, and remove the reaction to unmute.
* Channel automations now flag apps that are connected only to your personal account, so a digest doesn't come back empty.

### Fixes

* Fixed an issue where disconnecting Slack from Company Brain failed instead of removing the workspace.
* Company Brain now runs for teams that bought the add-on after their trial had already lapsed.

[Plugins](https://supermemory.ai/changelog/security-update-for-the-claude-code-plugin) August 12, 2026

## [Security update for the Claude Code memory plugin](https://supermemory.ai/changelog/security-update-for-the-claude-code-plugin) [#](https://supermemory.ai/changelog/security-update-for-the-claude-code-plugin)

Update the Claude Code plugin. During memory recall, a crafted Bash command could be approved automatically and run without your confirmation.

Re-run the installer to pick up the current version:

```
npx supermemory plugin
```

[Connectors](https://supermemory.ai/changelog/google-slides-sync-from-the-drive-connector) August 10, 2026

* [Open API Keys in Settings to create, copy, review, or revoke access.](https://app.supermemory.ai/?settings=api-keys)
* [New FAQ: How do I make Supermemory the default memory in ChatGPT?](https://supermemory.ai/docs/supermemory-mcp/chatgpt-web#how-do-i-make-supermemory-the-default-memory-in-chatgpt)
* [The forget-matching API can now delete the exact memory IDs returned by a dry run, keeping the reviewed set unchanged.](https://supermemory.ai/docs/recall/memory-operations)
* The OpenAPI reference now documents how to list every container tag.

### Fixes

* Company Brain final Slack replies now survive interruptions, approval resumes, and messages that arrive mid-turn without dropping completed work.
* Company Brain's mid-turn Slack updates now arrive in order and are not repeated in the final reply.
* Fixed an issue where Company Brain could not forget a learned interaction style after you corrected it.
* Large API document lists no longer fail while loading memory relations.
* The Codex plugin no longer opens browser sign-in after you explicitly log out.

[Web app](https://supermemory.ai/changelog/create-reusable-skills-with-company-brain) August 5, 2026

## [Company Brain can learn new skills](https://supermemory.ai/changelog/create-reusable-skills-with-company-brain) [#](https://supermemory.ai/changelog/create-reusable-skills-with-company-brain)

Teach Company Brain repeatable processes for triaging production failures, updating changelogs, or onboarding new employees. Admins can approve organization-wide skills in Slack and manage them from Settings.

Company Brain skills turn repeatable team processes into reusable playbooks.

### Improvements

* Company Brain now automatically joins your busiest public Slack channels, learns how your team works, and shares insights from the conversations already happening there.
* Company Brain can now connect to MCP servers that require an API key plus additional authentication headers.

### Fixes

* Company Brain now responds to relevant Slack thread conversations even when no one asks it a direct question.

[MCP](https://supermemory.ai/changelog/revamped-supermemory-mcp-experience) August 1, 2026

### Improvements

* [Interactive MCP views let you choose a space, save a memory, upload a file, and explore the memory graph.](https://supermemory.ai/docs/supermemory-mcp/setup)
* Search memories, browse documents, inspect profile context, and see the active space.

[Web app](https://supermemory.ai/changelog/nova-can-help-connect-apps) July 28, 2026

## [Inline interactive cards in Nova](https://supermemory.ai/changelog/nova-can-help-connect-apps) [#](https://supermemory.ai/changelog/nova-can-help-connect-apps)

### Improvements

* Ask Nova what you can connect or how to set up a specific coding agent or MCP client.
* Choose a setup option from an interactive card without leaving the conversation.
